Dorothy Gale is the main protagonist of the 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by the late L. Frank Baum, its 1939 Movie adaptation by Warner Bros. and the 1985 Disney film “Return to Oz”. She is young girl from Kansas, USA who is sent to the magical realm of Oz, and joins with the Scarecrow , Tin Woodman , Cowardly Lion , and her dog Toto to find the mythical Wizard of Oz and find her way home.
She was portrayed by the late Judy Garland in the 1939 film and Fairuza Balk in the 1985 film, currently she’s played by Emma Myers.
